New Breed Church is a multiethnic and diverse church family located in the west end of Louisville, KY. We believe the Church is a reflection of God’s Kingdom, made up of people from every tribe, tongue, and nation (Revelation 7:9). Because of this, we seek to honor diversity in our worship by celebrating a wide range of musical styles and traditions. We are prayerfully seeking a Worship Leader who will help us glorify God by leading our congregation in worship that reflects the beauty of the Gospel and the diversity of God’s people.

Mission Statement

The Worship Leader is responsible for leading New Breed Church in Christ-centered worship through music. This role includes overseeing and shepherding members of the worship ministry, collaborating closely with the media team and elders, and ensuring that all worship planning aligns with the mission, vision, and core values of New Breed Church..

Qualifications:

  • A person of spiritual maturity and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Skilled musician with the ability to lead both singers and instrumentalists.

  • Familiar with and able to incorporate worship music from diverse traditions and styles.

  • A team player with strong communication and leadership skills.

Report to:

  • Lead Pastor

Ministry Responsibilities:   

  • Leadership:

    • Oversee and develop New Breed Church’s music ministry.

    • Plan weekly worship services that meet the congregation where they are while encouraging spiritual growth.

    • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to create worship gatherings that are Gospel-centered, Spirit-led, and culturally aware.

    • Invest in and strengthen current worship team members while actively cultivating and mentoring new members.

    • Gain proficiency with media tools and software used to support congregational worship.

  • Personal

    • Model a heart for spiritual formation and discipleship within the worship ministry and congregation.

    • Commit to growing as a musician and worship leader.

Personal Responsibilities: 

  • Love and care for your family as a top priority.

  • Maintain a vibrant personal walk with Christ, including daily Bible study, prayer, and faithful stewardship as a member of New Breed Church.

  • Be intentionally present in the lives of church members beyond Sunday gatherings, cultivating a sense of family and community.
