Curtis Woods: Transitional Pastor
Curtis is the Associate Executive Director for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Prior to this call, he served as a social worker, assistant pastor, evangelism pastor, Baptist campus missionary, and church planter. Curtis is a life-long learner, lover of the triune God & His Great Commission. He holds masters and doctoral level degrees. He is married to the virtuous Tracy Y. Woods of North Little Rock, AR. They have three sons and reside in Louisville, KY. Tracy and the boys are his best friends.
Pastor of Strategy and Teaching
Michael Matala joined the staff of New Breed in 2014 after serving as the Teaching Pastor of Portland Avenue Baptist Church. Michael is married to Alia, and together they have two daughters, Emory and Thea. Michael’s primary responsibility is to "put feet" to the Vision of New Breed Church. Michael also shares in the teaching and preaching responsibility.
Mark Singleton became a pastor of New Breed Church in January 2018. He is married to Kendra and they have four children in their home; Adrian, Justyss, Jonathan and Keziah. Mark has been with New Breed since they began doing bible studies in 2010, and was instrumental in helping to officially launch New Breed Church in 2014. Mark enjoys helping lead different forms of community outreach and community engagement for the church.
John Matala became a pastor of New Breed Church in January 2018. He is married to Lynn and they have four grown children; Wendy, John, Michael, and Matthew. In addition, they get to love on seven beautiful grandchildren. John leads one of the Community Groups at New Breed and is actively involved in one-on-one discipleship for the church. John has been active in ministry for over 33 years.
