Job Description:

New Breed Church, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, seeks interested candidates for the position of Pastor of Vision and Teaching. The Pastor of Vision and Teaching for New Breed Church is a man charged with preaching the Word, praying for the saints, casting missional vision, leadership development, and general oversight of New Breed ministry in close consultation with the Elders.

 Ministry Responsibilities:  

  • Vision Casting: 

    • Evaluate and communicate the vision of the church to the congregation. 

    • Pray for God’s direction, pursue God’s vision for New Breed Church.

    • Observe the activities of the church, and work with other ministry leaders to curtail vision misalignment. 

    • Write a monthly article that helps the church celebrate ministry wins while mending ministry weaknesses. 

  • Sunday Worship:

    • The Pastor of Vision and Teaching will coordinate with worship team leader on a weekly basis to create praise and preaching synergy. 

    • The Pastor of Vision and Teaching will plan and schedule preaching themes as well as appoint appropriate speakers. 

    • The Pastor of Vision and Teaching will exposit the Word of God in such a way that the author’s intended meaning points listeners to Christ. He must have an alternating commitment to preaching both Old and New Covenant. 

    • The pastor of Vision and Teaching will preach at least 36 times to the New Breed gathering on the Lord’s Day. 

  • Leadership:

    • Lead the church in evangelism by modeling evangelism through personally sharing your faith. 

    • Lead the church through corporate and intercessory prayer. 

    • Lead the staff in the shepherding work of the ministry. 

    • Lead a small group of newly initiated members.  

Personal Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain a healthy relationship with God that consists of disciplined personal Bible Study outside of what is being preached to the congregation, a faithful prayer life, and financial giving as a member of New Breed Church. 

  • Love and Care for your family as your first priority.

  • Be actively involved in the lives of the members of New Breed outside of scheduled gatherings. 

  • Continue to maintain a vibrant, dynamic personal relationship with God by practicing spiritual disciplines that do not neglect one’s emotional and physical health
